A CNN panel had a complete meltdown Tuesday night while discussing President Trump’s decision to repeal Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The panel went so far as to call the President racist, and said, “If you’re not white, you’re not especially welcome” in the White House.
Network anchor Don Lemon was doing the prejudicial interviewing, twisting the facts about Obama’s illegal immigration policy when the panel completely lost their minds.
“What do you think of this?” Lemon asked panelist and contributor David Gergen, referring to the DACA program being phased out.
“This is one of the most cruel acts we’ve seen in the Presidency in a long time,” said Gergen. “It goes to very basic things. Whether you have respect for minorities, whether you have a belief in diversity, whether you think this country should welcome and continue to hold up the Statue of Liberty as a symbol of what we believe in.”
“I don’t know what it’s like to be a minority person in this country, and I often wonder about it, but I must say […] I would feel increasingly there’s a sign out there that’s been hung up in the White House, or outside the White House, saying ‘If you’re not white, you’re not especially welcome.’ That is so sad,” he added.
“The vast majority of the American people and the people I speak to are appalled by the actions that have happened recently,” said Lemon. “What does this say to Americans of color? It says, ‘You’re not wanted.’”
Lemon accused the Trump administration for discrimination and racism, stating that “It’s so obvious, it’s not even a dog-whistle anymore. It’s just flat-out bias.” The leftist Lemon has had a difficult time keeping his composure on CNN as many guests have thrown facts at his fake news. On two occasions he walked off the set because he couldn’t manipulate the conversation into bashing Trump.
