TRUMP MAKES MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT RIGHT BEFORE PHOENIX RALLY

President Donald Trump is preparing to take the stage in Phoenix, Arizona for a rally with his devoted supporters. Rumors have been swirling all week that Trump would be issuing a pardon to Sheriff Joe Arpaio during the rally, but it now looks like that actually will not be happening.

ABC News reported that the White House confirmed that Trump will not be issuing a pardon for Arpaio during the rally.

“There will no discussion of that today and no action will be taken on that at any point today,” said White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

It’s also been revealed that Arpaio likely won’t be attending the rally at all.

Arpaio is facing six months in prison after he was found guilty of criminal contempt last month for disregarding an order that he cease detaining suspected illegal immigrants. Speculation that Trump would pardon Arpaio rose from comments he made earlier this month.

“I am seriously considering a pardon for Sheriff Arpaio,” Trump said on August 13.
