Beth Chapman, wife and co-star of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” has recently announced that she has stage 2 throat cancer.
Beth’s husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman took to social media to thank everyone for their good thoughts and prayers for his wife. Duane wrote, “Thank you for your healing prayers and love for Beth during this difficult time.”
Beth, just 49 years old, wrote to friends that she was utterly shocked about her diagnosis. US Weekly obtained the letter.
Beth wrote, “I’ve been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, ‘You have cancer.'”
Beth had a nagging cough but didn’t realize it was anything serious until she went in for a routine check up. She has a tumor blocking her ability to breath correctly and the doctors want to perform surgery and start treatment right away.
Beth remains ever positive, writing to her friends, “I’ve stared down the devil more than once in my life but I’ve never faced a real life or death decision. I’ve never been a victim and I won’t let cancer beat me.”
At the end of the letter Beth shared her gratitude for her family and friends, and for the amazing support they are giving her during this very challenging time.
Both Duane and Beth have been strong supporters of Donald Trump. Independent Journal Review reported that Beth thinks Trump will be the “law and order guy,” which is just what the White House needed. Beth said, “The criminals are winning and I think there has to be somebody where, if he’s gonna say ‘no’ he’s gonna mean it.”
