BREAKING NEWS: President Donald Trump just announced the nation in the wake of the race riots in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Following his comments over the weekend, the leftist media complained that he didn’t flat-out condemn “white supremacy.” He did that today.
The president said, “I just met with Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The DOJ has opened a civil rights investigation into the deadly car attack that killed one American. … To anyone who acted criminally in this weekend’s racist violence, you will be held fully accountable. As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms, this display of hatred and violence.”
President Trump continued, “And as I have said many times before, no matter the color of our skin we all salute the same great flag and we are all made by the same almighty God. We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together.
“Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including white supremacists, the KKK, Nazis, and other hate groups that are vile to everything we hold dear.”
